It’s not the fairy tale they told, but rather a darker story of survival

The Wicked Witch of the West wasn’t the wicked one

But the Wicked Wizard was

He ruled with fear and smoke and fire

Granting wishes only he desired

She sought out to topple his reign

And bring the power back to the tame

So she was branded wicked by another gas-lighting man

Maleficent wasn’t a dark witch until an evil king stole her wings

She loved this man with all her soul

He stole from her what was never his

So when she fought to take it back he fabricated evil myths

And made the village wish to attack

She was just another pure fairy that wanted to fly

So you may be a villain in someone’s story,

but that’s just because you kept your dignity.

Keep fighting boldly, and claim what’s your’s

oppressors never own your history.
