By their graves I saw their rights

The sanctity of the gravestones brought such sorrow

The graves threw their ghosts into the light

They shouted our deaths have powers

Their accusing authority was appointing

warning us about this king

warning of our lost moral sense

This mission is filled with sorrow

Their ghosts against these empires

Always whispering dignity

Where is my humanity?

For decades they’ve roamed

From Germany to America

Yet will we listen?

To these ghosts of human dignity?
